- Payment information: Processed by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers
- Email captures: Email address submitted through gated content or newsletter signup
- Enterprise inquiries: Name, email, company, team size, and message content
- Feedback: Messages submitted through feedback forms
- AI assistant queries: Questions you ask the METRIX AI assistant

- Usage analytics: Pages visited, features used, calculator interactions, search queries

- Supabase (database and authentication) — stores account data, user preferences, and application data
- Stripe (payments) — processes subscription payments and stores billing information
- PostHog (analytics) — collects anonymized usage analytics and product metrics
- Anthropic (AI) — processes AI assistant queries; queries are not used to train models
- Resend (email) — sends transactional and marketing emails
- Vercel (hosting) — serves the application and collects basic web analytics

5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser local storage to persist user preferences, calculator history, and session state. We use essential cookies for authentication. Analytics cookies from PostHog and Vercel are used to understand product usage. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion
- Email captures: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
- Calculator history: Retained while your account is active
- Analytics data: Retained for up to 24 months
- AI queries: Not permanently stored; processed in real-time

Under GDPR and Qatar's Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016), you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")

- Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data

8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), Row-Level Security on our database, and secure authentication through Supabase Auth. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Qatar, including the United States (where our hosting and third-party services operate). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
10. Children's Privacy
METRIX is not intended for use by individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us immediately.
